It’s Fall, Y’all!

Even though it’s 90 degrees here in Tucson. It is not supposed to be this hot in October! The temperature is very mild in the morning and evening. Usually in the 60’s.  And really, since there is no humidity, 90 isn’t awful. But unless I don’t have the a/c on, it’s too warm for this time of year.

I’ve had my fall decor up for a few weeks now, but I’m finally getting around to sharing it with you.  Keep in mind, our last house was a lot smaller than our new house. The amount of decor that I have is perfect- for my old house. I haven’t had a lot of time to go shopping, so it’s still a work in progress.

Welcome to my home!

This table is in my entryway. I keep moving things around, and just recently added the tree. I’m working on making a fall-ish garland for it.  It does have some twinkle lights, but they weren’t showing in the pictures.

And finally, my scarecrow.  He is supposed to hang on a door and jingle when the door opens. But I don’t have an extra hanger.  So here he sits.  He is hanging on the fence post Hubby and I made for our Christmas stockings. I leave it out all year long and decorate seasonally.

So that’s it. Pretty basic right now. I’ve never had an entryway before. In our other houses you entered right into our living room. I do have other items in there, but they are not fall themed. Maybe I’ll do a house tour one of these days. Hmmm.

I would love to see everyone’s fall decorations. Share a picture with me! Or a link to your fall decor blog posts.  Any suggestions for me?

Have a blessed day!

Back in the Swing of Things

Well, the first day of school was a success. My 7th grader (S) decided middle school is not as scary as she thought. And my 10th grader is happy with all of her teachers. Win, win.

I spent the day with Hubby. Again, working on projects around the house. He cleaned out the garage, we got some picture frames hung up, he put up a flag in his pool table room. I made cookies for the girls for after school (our first day of school tradition), and then we relaxed through the afternoon and watched Pirates of the Caribbean.

What was left of the chocolate chip cookies after the girls got to them. 😉

Day 2 of school was pretty exciting for S.  The whole town was without power for the entire morning. The middle school was just hanging out making arrangements to bus the kids to the high school. S said they just hung out in 1st period and didn’t do any classes or anything. I could have picked her up, but she said she was having fun. The power finally came back in around lunchtime.

One of my favorite things about living in his area are the rains. Normally, I hate rain. But most of the time, the rain here come and goes so fast, you could miss it. But even if it’s not raining where you are, there is a good chance you’ll get to see the beautiful rainbows.

We were able to see this entire rainbow from our backyard! 😍

What is everyone up to this week? When do your kids go back to school?

Talk soon!
